Candida & Anxiety Connection
When looking for the source of anxiety, Candida usually isn’t on the minds of most. Candida is inside all of us. It is in your digestive tract, mouth, and throat. This isn’t a crisis. But Candida can turn out to be too extensive in your gut and convert to its more dangerous, fungal form. This fungal form of Candida makes rhizoids – barbs that cut into your tissue and can cause Candida to spore throughout your intestinal wall.
Once Candida has turned dominant and has made its way through your intestinal wall, it creates an infinite number of problems.
Anxiety has a major connection to Candida. Candida creates more than 80 poisonous toxins in your body. These toxins (from Candida) can be the main cause of anxiety, especially if you’re ill. These toxins can imitate and interfere with many of your body’s hormones, such as adrenaline, and when this happens, it can trigger powerful anxiety attacks. In addition to the toxins from the yeast itself, Candida also survives by making toxic matter from refined carbohydrates and sugars in your digestive system. Sensitivity to these Candida yeast poisons, the most destructive is acetaldehyde (by-product of alcohol and chemical that gives you hangovers), which can turn into anxiety, depression, and mess up your whole thought process.
However, this typically is not known as a problem of Candida. Your doctor will usually send you off to the psychiatric office (for prescription meds of course) which almost certainly will fail to fix your problem, and in turn increase your feelings of guilt, poor self-esteem, depression, and will cause more panic disorders and anxiety attacks.
