Candida and skn cancer forum opinions from those that matter

Posted - 11/08/2007 :  07:53:34  Show Profile  Reply with Quote
I have been searching for a long time for what I have always thought was a systemic cause for my skin cancer and I think I've finally found it.

I finally noticed a correlation between "outbreaks" or periods when I have a lot of new small skin cancers surfacing, and dry cracks in the corners of my lips along with what it turns out are other symptoms of candida or yeast infection.

So to make a long story short, it turns out that there are already other doctors who have made a correlation with candida and skin cancers. In a very short period of time, I have dramatically reduced the outbreak of new lesions and I even am using the product topically with great and very quick success. In other words, the treatment is working so effectively that I know I am on to the root cause of my problems.

So this post is really just a stub to get people thinking if their skin cancer might be related to systemic yeast infection and for you all to post any info you may have in this thread.

The main product I am currently using to treat it is something called "yeast cleanse" made by solaray. I'm taking it internally and also using it topically. The cracks in the corners of my mouth were gone in 48 hours.

In one area on my arm where I have had a big problem with SCC in situ popping up and biopsy scars to prove it...I have been trying all the treatments on this board with varying success. I have literally cured the problem overnight with the yeast cleanse applied topically. The areas shrunk up and scabbed over in one night.

Anyway, the symptoms of candida can be found on the web. For me they were cracks in the corners of the mouth, white tongue, recurring fungal infections on the edges of the big toenail, and recurring sinus and eye infections along with some other miscellaneous stuff.

So for me, I think I have found the root cause of my health problems and now I think all I have to do is completely kill off the candida.

SoFl, see this thread on the other forum for some discussion of fungal origins for skin cancers.

http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=186

One other thing I am curious about and will pose the question again here, is anyone taking Probiotics, and if so what benefits are being seen?

Probiotics are said to be effective for controlling Candida. I am also wondering if Probiotics may somehow help systemically against skin cancer and/or staph infection. Anyone have any thoughts or data?

I'm going to keep adding to this thread with new info as I get it. Below is the link to a Doctor in Italy who believes in the fungal (candida) basis for skin cancer.

He recommends Iodine.

Hi: I think you are right. There has been a lot written about the connection between candida/yeast overgrowth in the body and cancer as well as a host of other conditions. It seems to create an environment in the body where disease thrives. I know quite a bit about candida. As you have discovered you have signs of it in many places in your body. You will have a "pool" of it in your gut and you must get rid of it there first. Candida loves sugar, wheat, dairy, antibiotics, steroids, most prescription drugs, hormones. To get rid of it you must stop feeding it. I can share a food plan with you that will accomplish this and then you must kill it. I can also help you with that. If you want to know the food plan make a request and I will post it here. The products that will kill it are called D365, RF3 and you must take Vit C and lots of omegas. Then you will need to have a period of rebuild. You can find out more at www.edcwellness.ca or contact me through this channel.

Candida Diet

1. No sugar – not white, brown, maple syrup, corn syrup, rice syrup, sugar substitutes
2. No fruit – except blueberries, blackberries, pomegranate, grapefruit, lemon
3. No white carbs – whole grain pasta, brown, red and wild rice, and potatoes that are not baked are fine.
4. No yeast – 100%organic rye sourdough bread is fine.
5. No crackers - except brown rice crackers ( Plum-M-Good, and Super Slim Brown rice crisps)
6. No shellfish – other fish are fine
7. No pork or beef. Game meats such as moose, elk, buffalo, lamb are fine and organic beef. Chicken and turkey are fine
8. No dairy except organic plain yogurt, goat milk and cheese, butter, no margarine
9. No soya milk or rice milk. Can have tofu. For some Rice Dream brand rice milk is okay, Plain or vanilla not enriched with vitamins.
10. No alcohol - an occasional glass of dry white wine

What can you eat?

Vegetables, vegetables, vegetables. Legumes, beans, no corn.
Nuts – organic peanut butter is fine and all nuts, tahini, nut butters, unless you are sensitive to nuts and you aren't.
Mayonnaise, not miracle whip
Flax oil, olive oil, hemp oil, sesame oil
Presidents choice dark almond chocolate. No substitutes - a square
Meat, eggs
Organic Juice: Bremner’s or Lakewood Blueberry and Pomegranate
Jam- Golden Valley All Fruit Blueberry Spread
Kettle Chips all flavours except Cheddar Beer.
Lundberg Brown rice chips.
Cheerios, oatmeal
Drink lots of water to flush your system. Check how many 8 oz glasses/day approx.10
Coffee, Green Tea ( check brand) and Rooibos are okay for most people.
Supplements

Vit C, Cal mag, omegas including hemp hearts. Do not take B vitamins or a multivitamins or minerals.
Of course take prescription drugs

For best results in a short time stick to your diet. It takes about 2 weeks for cravings to subside. It will be way easier for you if you choose to follow instructions exactly and not wonder if I should have just this one time have something not on this menu. Remember candida interferes with your immune system and your health. Following the detox 2 weeks there will be an important period of rebuilding. Do yourself a favour, do it all.
Eating according to this food plan will control and stop feeding the candida. It will not kill it and who would want to eat like this forever? The best way I have found to kill it is using D365 and RF3 from the web site www.edcwellness.ca. You would also benefit from HS-V and HB-L during the cleanse. Of course you will need to drink lots of water 10 8oz glasses per day to wash the dead candida out. This is very important. You will get rid of your candida in 2 weeks if you do this exactly. And the rebuild will be critical. Let me know what happens. Expect good things to happen

To SW171-

What an amazing post! You are such a awesome person to take the time and right in detail exactly what a person needs to do to get the yeast out of their body.

I actually know an at home test that can test "some" people if they have candida. Put vinigar on your face for a couple of days. If you start getting tiny bumps on your skin-that is yeast coming up out of your body into your skin.

People who have candida should not ever have viniger-makes the yeast grow. Pau d arco is a herb that cures candida.

Bye!

Hi there! is it true that colon problems have something to do with skin problems like acne?

I think most people would agree that the health of any body system (such as cardiovascular, skeletal, digestive, nervous, skin, etc) is related to in some manner to the health of the other systems, although we may disagree about the extent of the influence. I am not aware of a special relationship between the health of the colon and the health of the skin, but of course they do affect each other.

I think acne is caused by oxidized oils secreted by the skin that feed acne bacteria colonies. I am certainly not an acne expert, but to an extent, "you are what you eat." I would cut down on polyunsaturated omega 6 fats, the type of oils in the diet that are likely to oxidize. Also, get enough vitamins A-D-K and the super antioxidant astaxanthin.

My understanding of the "candida connection" to skin cancer is that once Candida has established "leaky gut" in the intestines and colon, Candida yeasts can actually enter the bloodstream and colonize other areas, including the fingernails, skin, and other organs.
I think my source for this is the various Yeast Connection books published by William G. Crook.
My thought has been that the yeast colonies forming (visible or non-visible) patches on the skin provide the pre-cursor trouble spots of troubled skin where cancer can begin.
What do other forum users think about this?

thanks01, that was a good reply. I agree that many health problems could be yeast related. Unexpectedly, I have recently responded very well to vitamin K2 supplements, so I looked to see if there is a connection between candida and vitamin k2. Candida (systemic yeast) infections have been linked to vitamin K deficiencies. An overgrowth of candida can crowd out the helpful bacteria in the digestive tract that make vitamin K2. While it makes sense to make dietary changes to discourage candida buildups, perhaps some of the damage caused by chronic yeast infections can be undone by supplementing vitamin K2.

Thanks, Dan. I had read your K2 entry on another thread and became interested in that. I was considering ordering some with my next supplement order (even though I do eat a lot of the "healthy" stuff that contains K2 - info found by using the link in your earlier post @ http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=605).
Now, from what you say, I think I will definitely try some K2. Very interesting and thanks for the Candida reply.
Thx

I am drinking radon water because the Radiation Hormesis stones that you brew in water kill fungus. I've been plagued with yeast/candida for a long time. Even though I have a very healthy diet, etc. I have had reoccurring skin cancer. So I could see where the two are interlinked.

I've gotten off gluten too, along with many other things that were listed.

Oh, and vinegar... that is a bummer if it is true. I will have to start using fresh lemon juice with my olive oil and see if that helps. Vinegar, like gluten, is in a lot of other foods as well.

Well, I typed in a search for: Does apple cider vinegar cause yeast/candida to grow?, after I used the phrase just vinegar.

I read an article that talked about vinegar, saying it was not good. But they were referring to regular distilled vinegar, that has additives.

excerpt: Anything which has been subjected to yeast or fungus during processing potentially has anti-bacterial chemicals. One obvious source are alcoholic beverages but there are many other such foods in the diet. The first such food is vinegar. For example, vinegar, literally spoiled wine, contains many chemicals, one of which, present in large quantity, is ethyl acetate (footnote 2). Ethyl acetate is used in industrial food processing such as bread making to keep the bacteria down without touching the yeast. This chemical kills bacteria (footnote 3) at the same time that it leaves yeast alone (3). In addition, vinegar also contains a number of toxic alcohols as well as methanol (2). These alcohols will also kill bacteria, besides being toxic to the brain. In other words, vinegar contains chemicals which are used to promote yeast growth by killing bacteria. But vinegar is present in many foods, from ketchup and mustard to salad dressing to bread. To stop intestinal yeast, one must stop eating vinegar.

The other article said this:

# The acidity of apple cider vinegar has a very therapeutic effect on yeast infections, because rebalances the acid levels that cause the proliferation of the candida fungus. It helps to fight intestinal yeast infections by creating unfriendly conditions that kill off the candida. It also creates a friendly environment for friendly, beneficial gut bacteria.

Prevention

# Making apple cider vinegar a regular part of your daily diet will help to prevent yeast infections by helping maintain a proper pH balance, which hinders fungal growth. Use it on salads as a dressing, marinate meat, sprinkle it on baked potatoes and fries, use it in your coleslaw or use it as a pickling agent.

I was happy to read that the organic ACV is good to go. I have always thought that but wanted to look into it more.

Here is the best and natural yeast infection treatment or candida treatment:

Natural cures for candida #1:Garlic

Garlic is one food that has powerful anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and some scientific studies have found it to be at least as effective as the popular anti-fungal drug, Nystatin, in destroying candida albicans.

One important difference between taking drugs such as antibiotics and anti-fungals, and taking garlic, is that bacteria and fungi are not likely to develop a resistance to garlic. This is because garlic contains many different substances with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, including allicin, alliin, alliinase and S-allylcysteine.

To get the most of garlic's ability to destroy bacteria and fungi like the candida yeast, it is best to take garlic raw.

But raw garlic is extremely pungent. So you might want to chop it up finely and eat with your food, or swallow it with water.

Natural cures for candida #2: Oregano oil

The oil of Oregano Vulgare, a species of the oregano herb that is commonly used in Italian and Greek cooking, is also known to have powerful anti-fungal properties.

Interestingly, Oregano is used in the Philippines primarily as a herbal medicine – for various common illnesses like coughs and the flu – rather than a herb for cooking.

Oregano oil is normally sold as a pure oil. It is very potent. So all you need is a few drops mixed into a glass of water. Taking too much of oregano oil might cause irritation to the mucous membranes.

Natural cures for candida #3: Super green foods

Green algae such as chlorella and spirulina – sometimes called 'Super Green foods' – are very rich in nutrition and have strong detoxification capabilities. And detoxifying the colon is an important step in the fight against candida infection because the candida yeast thrives in a toxic environment.

These green foods also have a very strong alkalinizing effect on the body, which is also crucial because candida albicans thrive in an acidic environment.

Vegetables as well as foods rich in minerals – like seaweeds and salt pickled foods – all have strong alkalinizing effects. Of these, chlorella and spirulina are among the most alkalinizing.
Be careful, though, to buy only the best quality green algae, as some tend to be moldy.

Natural cures for candida #4: Edible clay

The idea of eating ash or clay might seem strange to many people, but this has actually been a traditional practice of many primitive societies.

Dr Weston Price, who studied the diets and health of many primitive societies during the early 20th century, found that many primitive people would eat food that has been dipped in water dissolved with clay – in order to prevent upset stomachs from food poisoning.

Two types of clay are today commonly sold for consumption as health supplements – bentonite and montmorillonite. These have been variously called "living clay", "healing clay" or just "edible clay".

Clay is highly absorptive. It readily absorbs toxins, heavy metals, bacteria, virus and fungi. But because clay itself is not absorbed by the body, whatever it absorbs is passed out in the stools.

Natural cures for candida #5: Colloidal Silver

Colloidal silver is silver particles suspended (not sissolved) in water. Before the development of antibiotic drugs, colloidal silver was widely used to treat infections, as colloidal silver is said to be effective against up to 650 types of bacteria and other harmful micro-organisms – including candida albicans.

Silver is said to work by denaturing the enzyme involved with supplying oxygen to these micro-organisms. And colloidal silver is gaining popularity as an alternative to antibiotics, partly because many organisms are nowadays resistant to even powerful antibiotics, whereas there is little chance of them developing resistance to silver.

Silver is used in Indian cuisine, where various candies and sweets are often coated with a thin layer of silver foil. So eating - or drinking - silver is again not as strange as it might seem to some people.

Regarding acne in relation to colon problems or leaky gut syndrome, probiotics were able to clear up acne:

"Recent studies have shown that orally consumed pre and probiotics can reduce systemic markers of inflammation and oxidative stress [49-51]. Since the local burden of lipid peroxidation in acne is high, such that it appears to place a great demand upon blood-derived antioxidants [52], the ability of oral probiotics to limit systemic oxidative stress [53] may be an important therapeutic pathway. Oral probiotics can regulate the release of inflammatory cytokines within the skin [54], and a specific reduction in interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1-a), noted under certain experimental conditions [55], would certainly be of potential benefit in acne. In line with observations of internal antibiotic use, it is also true that oral encapsulated probiotics have the potential to change the microbial community at sites far removed from the gastrointestinal tract [56]. "
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3038963/?tool=pubmed

That last sentence, "change the microbial community at sites far removed from the gastrointestinal tract" is important if you believe that several cancers are caused by microbes. Researchers have already proven that bacteria and viruses cause certain cancers. The jury is still out as to how many more cancers result from bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites or other microbes. Notice also they mentioned cytikines: many cancers produce something called cytokines which shut down our immune system from recognizing them as different and acting on that. Since probiotics can regulate the release of inflammatory cytokines, is it possible they could interfere with that cancer mechanism? Another mechanism they might affect is apoptosis (cancer cell death.) Ceramides are signaling molecules that alert cells to perform apostosis, programming a cell to die.

I have had what I thought was "worms or parasites" coming out of my
skin at various times then I came across Candida and it all makes sense.
First of I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis for 10+ yrs and
on 4 different MS meds to no avail. I have just about every symptom I have read about and the only thing I haven't seen much of is ppl saying it's coming from their skin. I have been to the Docs twice and they don't believe me because it doesn't always happen I kinda have to pick at it most of the time. Well folks today was different it is coming out everywhere I even pulled some from my ear and (hard to believe yes) put it in my hand then it disintegrated into my hand. I am beyond freaked out and wanted to let ppl know this happens and want to know if anyone has a similar experience. Obviously I have a severe case of this disease and who knows what they will do in the am wish me luck! ~Peace~

I have white "worm like" matter in my skin, nails and mouth.
I've been to docs twice with very much skepticism which is
beyond me given the multitude of symptoms I have. She has been
prescribing me nausea meds for years and last time I went I had
lost 15 lbs in a course of a month and a half for no apparent
reason. Ahhh she's starting to come around and gave me a stool
kit but I want to see a specialist. I have Multiple Sclerosis
which would cover most symptoms but I haven't been on any MS meds
for a year now because none of them are working and the side
effects are horrible. I read that in some severe cases neurological
disorders such as MS etc. have been directly linked to this disease.
Anyone have input on the neurological (I also have severe skin issues)
aspect of this and it throwing you into a chronic illness? I have had
MS for 10+ yrs and like I said the meds don't work and I can only
wonder if it's because of Candida and not directly MS per say.
