Toxic cat poo - make up your own minds

Stinky Cat Poo teaches important Qigong lesson

Some days I really struggle with what Qigong tips I can share with you.
I wrestle with ways to bring you something fresh and valuable every weekday.
Well, this morning going downstairs to get Clarabella her morning cup of tea in bed, inspiration kicked me in the nostrils.
And the result is today’s short, but important Qigong tip.
You see, as I opened the living room door the stench of cat poo penetrated my nostrils and stabbed me in the brain.
I gagged and physically recoiled from the toxic fumes.
If you’ve ever had a cat, you’ll know that the smell of cat poo is super rank.
I knew what I had to do.
I ran into the play room and opened the windows at the front of the house. I paused long enough to stick my head out and suck in a huge lungful of clean air.
Then as I ran back out of the room I picked up the toxic cat litter tray and zoomed to the patio windows at the back of the house.
Opening them wide I slide the tray across the patio, with it’s offending items, as far away from me as possible.
And let out a sigh of relief.
Within minutes fresh, clean air was flowing through the whole of downstairs. Taking the horrible stench with it.
So what’s this got to do with your Qigong practice dear reader?
Everything!
If you practice Qigong indoors you must either:
Have the windows open whilst you practice.
Or…
Open the windows and let fresh air circulate in the room you practiced in for at least 15 minutes afterwards.
And don’t even think about getting out of bed and practicing in the same room, unless you’ve had the window open over night.
Remember young Grasshopper…
When you practice Qigong, you don’t just breathe in air whilst you practice. You’re also breathing in Qi. If you practice where the Qi is stale or negative, what affect do you think it will have on your practice?
Exactly… not a beneficial one that’s for certain.
