The Daily Mail have got it so wrong about Candida and Asthma link, incredible!!!!!!!!!!!

Can candida cause asthma?

I very much doubt it. The yeast infection candida is being blamed by many people for an amazing array of symptoms at the moment, such as tiredness, irritable bowel syndrome, and even headaches. However, there is no firm proof for these claims - in most cases, it is pure speculation, and used when no other cause can be found.
Certainly I have not managed to find any evidence that candida can cause asthma. Most cases of asthma are caused by allergy to a variety of triggers, such as house dust mite, animal furs, or sometimes inhaling irritant vapours, such as oil based paint. Infections in the respiratory tract can also trigger wheezing in susceptible people.
I'm intrigued why you want to blame candida for wheezing - is it because you suffer from candida in the mouth? If so, this could be due to the steroid inhaler you use to treat your asthma.
Mouth candida can certainly cause a sore throat, with white patches on the tongue and palate, but it shouldn't affect your breathing in any way. If you suffer from frequent bouts of mouth candida, changing the type of inhaler, or using it with a spacer device can be helpful, so see your GP or practice nurse.
