A case of Candida albicans ulcer within a hiatal hernia sac is presented. The lesion was initially mistaken both radiographically and endoscopically for a malignant tumor. It is recommended that biopsy material and stool be examined specifically for Candida when no definite malignancy is found on microscopic section.
