my info - MS Society

I would love to reply to following post on MS Society message boards, as I believe she has an Atlas problem which has caused problems in her cervical spine, which can affect the face  but I have yet again been blocked from site, when I posted a reply the other week, to someone who could have benefited from some well researched info that I had made available to her. It is a waste of my time and energy to try and help as it will just be deleted by those who do   not
even bother to read its content, that makes it a very manipulative place to visit, and very dangerous to the young and newly diagnosed and especially those in limbo.

Hi
This is my first post on here but i really need some help and support. I have been having problems now since 2004 but only recently gone back over the years and started putting things together. I was dx with a bells palsy in 2004 but for the last 10 years i have been going back and forth for excessive tiredness. I then have had a palsy and numbness and had a clear mri in 2004. Since then i have had the tingling and pins and needles and numbness in my right side of face and then arm and hand. I have had numeous episodes of these since which i have just put down to weakness from the palsy. In September of last year i had another bad bout of tingling in the face and loss use of all the right side since then i now wake up every night with pins and needles in both hands and now legs leaving them numb. I am forgetting things and also pain behind my eye.I am totally exhausted. Neurologist sent me for MRI which came back negative so my gp said that it cannot be ms but doesnt know what it can be so has requested a blood test.
I know how i feel and that the symptoms are there but made to feel a hypocondriac and that im going mad. Any suggestions please im desperate?
Thanks
Donna

Candida and Diabetes connection

DIABETES AND OTHER SUGAR REGULATION PROBLEMS CAN BE CAUSED BY CANDIDA OVERGROWTH

CANDIDA OVERGROWTH AND HOW IT AFFECTS DIABETES HYPOGLYCEMIA AND SUGAR REGULATION IN GENERAL
SEE HOME PAGE FOR TREATMENT DETAILS AND FREE INFORMATION

The Candida connection to diabetes and sugar regulation
The main connection to sugar level problems and candida overgrowth is that candida feeds on sugar, its main food is cane sugar (sucrose) found in many processed foods and candida overgrowth can create sugar cravings.
The question is what could controlling candida overgrowth do to help with diabetes and hypoglycemia symptoms.
The control plan presented will come with a diet that cuts out all cane sugar for a period of time so the only sugars consumed are more complex sugars, the most common will be fructose which is allowed on this diet in fruit and vegetables or in powder form.
Cutting out excessive sucrose may help stop excessive insulin secretion by the pancreas as it try’s to normalize blood sugar levels, these highs and lows created as the pancreas struggles to get sugar into the body's cells and out of the bloodstream through insulin production may lead to the pancreas becoming overworked and development of diabetes two.
It has long been believed that the western diet high in cane sugar and suspect fats is leading to an increase incidence of diabetes and recent figures may show this trend emerging.
By re training the body to be happy with a more natural sugar supply  sugar cravings are reduced  and long term health results may be achieved .
Diabetes 2 starts off as insulin resistance where the body has plenty of insulin but cannot use it efficiently and may develop into diabetes 1 as the pancreas deteriorates.
Cane sugar has no protein, minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids or dietary fiber many foods with a lot of added cane sugar have little in the way of important nutrients.
Hypoglycemia and Candida
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is the common factor in all sugar regulation problems, it is a drop in blood sugar occurring in most people several times a day, usually two to five hours after a meal this stimulates appetite and we eat and restore blood-sugar levels, this is normal, Hypoglycemia can also be reversed by breaking down muscle tissue and converting the protein to blood glucose. Some people react to ‘lows’ in their blood-glucose levels by feeling a sudden loss of energy.
These Symptoms may include irritability, inability to make decisions, headache, feelings of shakiness, depression, poor concentration, increased sweating or nausea.
Some Candida overgrowth symptoms are similar to some of the symptoms of hypoglycemia and both can be present together hypoglycemia symptoms of fatigue and sugar craving are common to both conditions.
Candida overgrowth may lead to leaky gut syndrome which may lead to candida and other toxins spreading through the body and having far reaching effects.
The candida diet is similar to hypoglycemia diet and there are other ways Candida overgrowth may contribute to Hypoglycemia, poor thyroid function may contribute to Hypoglycemia by reducing cellular respiration candida overgrowth is known to effect thyroid function.
Progesterone helps protect the body from Hypoglycemia it is more likely to be in short supply if the thyroid function is low.
Candida overgrowth may affect the endocrine system, disrupting hormones such as estrogen and progesterone levels therefore affecting blood sugar regulation directly.
The relationship between  candida and sugar regulation is not as clear cut as many other heath problems where there is a direct cause and effect .
It seems to me that Candida overgrowth and sugar regulation go side by side the  effect of a diet high in refined sugar is to overwork the pancreas which can lead to long term sugar regulation problems such as diabetes two and feed candida causing overgrowth leading to many other serious health problems including further interference  with sugar regulation , so treating candida overgrowth can only help in sugar regulation and if the long term result is better health then a good job has been done .
From a healthy eating perspective a person or family that has completed a candida control plan will learn healthier eating patterns that will stay with them for life children may avoid sugar regulation problems such as diabetes later in life or at least know how to bring the body back into balance if problems occur, any diet changes need to be checked by a health professional for people who are already under diet regulations.
Remember Alternative Medicine can work in with Western Treatment
 GENERAL INFORMATION
Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and many people are unaware they have it. The disease mechanisms in type 2 diabetes are not wholly known, but some experts suggest that it may involve the following three stages in most patients:*       The first stage in type 2 diabetes is the condition called insulin resistance. Although insulin can attach normally to receptors on liver and muscle cells, certain mechanisms prevent insulin from moving glucose (blood sugar) into these cells where it can be used. Most patients with type 2 diabetes produce variable, even normal or high, amounts of insulin. In the beginning, this amount is usually sufficient to overcome such resistance. *       Over time, the pancreas becomes unable to produce enough insulin to overcome resistance. In type 2 diabetes, the initial effect of this stage is usually an abnormal rise in blood sugar right after a meal (called postprandial hyperglycemia). This effect is now believed to be particularly damaging to the body. *       Eventually, the cycle of elevated glucose further impairs and possibly destroys beta cells, thereby stopping insulin production completely and causing full-blown diabetes. This is made evident by fasting hyperglycemia, in which elevated glucose levels are present most of the time.
Type 1 Diabetes           In type 1 diabetes, the disease process is more severe than with type 2, and : onset is usually in childhood: Beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin are gradually destroyed. Eventually insulin deficiency is absolute.  Without insulin to move glucose into cells, blood glucose levels become excessively high, a condition known as hyperglycemia. Because the body cannot utilize the sugar, it spills over into the urine and is lost.  Weakness, weight loss, and excessive hunger and thirst are among the consequences of this "starvation in the midst of plenty." Patients become dependent on administered insulin for survival. Hyperglycemia (or high blood glucose) can occur any time blood glucose is above the target range.
Hyperglycemia is caused by having too much sugar and/or not enough insulin in the body. In fact, the symptoms of diabetes are the same as the symptoms of hyperglycemia. That's because diabetes itself causes hyperglycemia

ATLAS SUBLUXATION COMPLEX (ASC)

HOW THE SPINE INFLUENCES THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

CHIROPRACTIC CUTS BLOOD PRESSURE

About: ATLAS SUBLUXATION COMPLEX

A misaligned spine can lead to a variety of problems in the body, often in ways that may first appear to be unrelated. If the top bone of the spine (Atlas or C-1) is misaligned and distorted, signals from the brain which travel through the nerve system that feeds all parts of the body, can be affected. Because the nervous system has a dominant role in coordinating information and directing responses, this can have a major impact throughout the body.

Atlas Subluxation Complex (ASC), the misalignment of theAtlas/C-1, can cause symptoms ranging from headaches, muscle pain, fatigue, allergies, dizziness, ringing in the ears, depression, and high blood pressure to name a few.
The proper adjustment of C-1 can remove interference to normal nerve function and create an opportunity for the body to heal itself.
The diagnosis and treatment is rather simple – a chiropractor who specializes in the NUCCA System (National Upper Cervical Association) will do a visual exam as well as a series of neck x-rays to determine if treatment is required. The treatment itself is fast, painless and very gentle – at least that has been my experience and that of others I have spoken to. The number of treatments you will need depends on many factors, including the type of condition you have, how long you have been subluxated, your general health and how long the adjustment holds its restored position.
For more information on Atlas Subluxation Complex, including articles, illustrations as well as to find a practitioner in your area, visit www.nucca.org or call the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association at 1-800-541-5799. How The Spine Influences The Nervous System

Can chiropractic help me? Isn't it just for neck pain or lower back pain?
I hear these questions quite frequently, and will answer them and explain the basics about how the spine influences the nervous system.
To begin our understanding of the primary importance of the nervous system, we must look at the growing fetus. The nervous system develops before any of the other systems or organs; before there is a heart that beats, before there are kidneys to filter the blood, before intestines exist to break down and absorb food, there already exists a nervous system to control and coordinate the development of the other systems of the body. That relationship is maintained throughout our entire lives. Health depends on maintaining our bodies in a state of balance (homeostasis) with our internal and external environments. The nervous system is the communication pathway that allows the brain to be aware of our environment and respond appropriately to it.
What if the nerves are not functioning at their best? For example, what if the nerves that control and coordinate the stomach are irritated? Could there be overproduction of acid, indigestion, heartburn? You bet. The one thing that most strongly influences the health and function of the nervous system is the spine. The spine consists of 24 movable bones that surround and protect the delicate nervous system. But because the spine is so flexible, it can also misaligned and become fixed, which irritates the nerves that exit between each bone of the spine. These nerves have target organs that they travel to in order to control and coordinate their function. If the nerve suffers, the target organ will be affected to the same extent. Some more examples of this might be: the fifth bone in the neck strongly affects the muscles of the neck, shoulders, and arms; the second bone in the upper back influences the nerves to the heart, blood and lymph to the chest, shoulders, arms, and hands; the eighth bone in the back influences the stomach, food allergies, and the pancreas; the second bone in the lower back influences the bladder, colon, and small intestines. Did you know that neck problems can be a source of ringing in the ears, upset stomach, high blood pressure, headaches, blurred vision, loss of balance or coordination, nausea, problems concentrating, short term memory loss, moodiness, irritability, depression? To get you thinking about this, search on www.webmd.com for a hypertension study that proved a good upper cervical adjustment to the top of the neck lowered blood pressure. (Note: See reprint of article below)
If you are looking for a natural, drug-free option to help heal the body and return to a state of optimum health and human performance, you owe it to yourself to look into chiropractic care. Remember that the body is a self-healing organism, but only if you get rid of the interference blocking that healing.

WebMD Article: Chiropractic Cuts Blood Pressure

The article below from the WebMD website (www.webmd.com) concernsa University of Chicago research study indicating that proper alignment of the C-1 (Atlas vertebra) can have a significant impact on lowering blood pressure. One of the doctors conducting the study says that misaligment of C-1 can trigger release of signals that make the arteries contract, effecting blood flow to the arteries in the base of the skull, which in turn can have an impact on blood pressure. My husband has struggled with high blood pressure for some time and is currently on medication to control it. After one treatment his pressure is now in the low normal range, and has stayed that way for the last week! I would strongly suggest anyone with high blood pressure look in this type of chiropractic procedure - but make sure you find someone experienced in the NUCCA system (www.nucca.org).
Study Finds Special 'Atlas Adjustment' Lowers Blood Pressure
By: Daniel J. DeNoon
WebMD Medical News
Reviewed By: Louise Chang, M.D.
March 16, 2007 -- A special chiropractic adjustment can significantly lower high blood pressure, a placebo-controlled study suggests.
"This procedure has the effect of not one, but two blood-pressure medications given in combination," study leader George Bakris, MD, tells WebMD. "And it seems to be adverse-event free. We saw no side effects and no problems," adds Bakris, director of the University of Chicago hypertension center.
Eight weeks after undergoing the procedure, 25 patients with early-stage high blood pressure had significantly lower blood pressure than 25 similar patients who underwent a sham chiropractic adjustment. Because patients can't feel the technique, they were unable to tell which group they were in.
X-rays showed that the procedure realigned the Atlas vertebra -- the doughnut-like bone at the very top of the spine -- with the spine in the treated patients, but not in the sham-treated patients.
Compared to the sham-treated patients, those who got the real procedure saw an average 14 mm Hg greater drop in systolic blood pressure (the top number in a blood pressure count), and an average 8 mm Hg greater drop in diastolic blood pressure (the bottom blood pressure number).
None of the patients took blood pressure medicine during the eight-week study.
"When the statistician brought me the data, I actually didn't believe it. It was way too good to be true," Bakris says. "The statistician said, 'I don't even believe it.' But we checked for everything, and there it was."
Bakris and colleagues report their findings in the advance online issue of the Journal of Human Hypertension.

Atlas Adjustment and Hypertension

The procedure calls for adjustment of the C-1 vertebra. It's called the Atlas vertebra because it holds up the head, just as the titan Atlas holds up the world in Greek mythology.
Marshall Dickholtz Sr., DC, of the Chiropractic Health Center, in Chicago, is the 84-year-old chiropractor who performed all the procedures in the study. He calls the Atlas vertebra "the fuse box to the body.
"At the base of the brain are two centers that control all the muscles of the body. If you pinch the base of the brain -- if the Atlas gets locked in a position as little as a half a millimeter out of line -- it doesn't cause any pain but it upsets these centers," Dickholtz tells WebMD.
The subtle adjustment is practiced by the very small subgroup of chiropractors certified in National Upper Cervical Chiropractic (NUCCA) techniques. The procedure employs precise measurements to determine a patient's Atlas vertebra alignment. If realignment is deemed necessary, the chiropractor uses his or her hands to gently manipulate the vertebra.
"We are not doctors. We are spinal engineers," Dickholtz says. "We use mathematics, geometry, and physics to learn how to slide everything back into place."
What does this have to do with high blood pressure?
Bakris notes that some researchers have suggested that injury to the Atlas vertebra can affect blood flow in the arteries at the base of the skull. Dickholtz thinks the misaligned Atlas triggers release of signals that make the arteries contract. Whether the procedure actually fixes such injuries is unknown, Bakris says.
Bakris began the study after a fellow doctor told him that something strange was happening in his family practice. The doctor had been sending some of his patients to a chiropractor. Some of these patients had high blood pressure.
Yet after seeing the chiropractor, the patients' blood pressure had normalized -- and a few of them were able to stop taking their blood pressure medications.
So Bakris, then at Rush University, designed the pilot study with 50 patients. He's now organizing a much bigger clinical trial.
"Is it going to be for everybody with high blood pressure? No," Bakris says. "We clearly need to identify those who can benefit. It is pretty clear that some kind of head or neck trauma early in life is related to this. This is really a work in progress. It is certainly in the early stages of research."
Dickholtz has been teaching, practicing, and studying the NUCCA technique for 50 years. He says high blood pressure is far from the only thing an Atlas misalignment causes.
"On the other hand, if people have high blood pressure, there is a tremendous possibility they need an Atlas adjustment," he says.

atlas-back pain-migraine-neckpain and a very long long list of other symptoms

Stay healthy without continuous medication?

Here you will learn how migraine, whiplash, neck pain, back pain and dozens of other complaints can be cured by adjusting the position of the Atlas.

  • Do you want to be rid of your complaints for good? If so, stop fighting only the symptoms!

  • One single treatment and a follow-up check will activate the self-healing power of
    your body.

  • 9 facts you should know before undergoing other
    kinds of treatment.

Read on to find out why misalignment of the first cervical vertebra may be responsible for a whole series of apparently unrelated problems, the treatment of which focuses merely on suppressing the pain without removing the cause. A new discovery could now bring relief in many cases.

Atlas correction

The Atlas is the hidden cause of numerous complaints

The first cervical vertebra, known as the Atlas or C1, plays the most delicate and at the same time primary role for the entire spine.

A malfunction in this area can produce a "domino effect" on the entire musculoskeletal system, as well as the circulation and nervous systems, creating imbalances and dysfunctions in various parts of the body.

With time these dysfunctions may turn into serious health problems of apparently unknown origin. The body is not able to function as it should, seriously affecting quality of life, yet no organic cause can be identified or diagnosed.

Migräne Kopfschmerzen psychosomatisch

Are your complaints really just psychosomatic?

How many patients are told by their doctors that their problems are unknown and that they "obviously" have a psychosomatic origin? It is quite likely that your doctor doesn't know – and therefore doesn't tell you – that a misaligned Atlas might be the cause of your problems.

Chronic complaints after whiplash trauma and recurring migraine attacks or headaches find a simple, logical explanation in the Atlas misalignment. Correction of this problem offers a real, lasting solution without being forced to take medicine continuously with the ensuing side effects.

In addition, correction of the Atlas vertebra is the ideal method to improve posture, thus preventing postural defects such as functional short leg, pelvic obliquity, hyperlordosis/hollow back, kyphosis, idiopathic / functional scoliosis and hypolordosis.

9 Facts you should know about misalignment of the Atlas vertebra

Migräne
  • For many people the trauma of birth leads to a misalignment of the Atlas (first cervical vertebra) and sometimes also of the Axis (second vertebra).
  • Traumas such as whiplash or falls may also cause or further accentuate misalignment of the Atlas vertebra.
  • It has been found that misalignment of the Atlas is responsible for a number of disorders and conditions at both the physical and mental level.
  • Conventional medicine does not consider misalignment of the Atlas vertebra a possible cause of disorders in the patient. As a result this problem generally goes undiagnosed.
  • Failure to diagnose the problem is due to the fact that misalignment of the Atlas does not show up in regular X-rays or magnetic-resonance imaging.
  • A multi-slice helical CT scan allows misalignment to be detected clearly and measured, but only if the radiologist sets up the CT machine for this purpose.
  • Leaving aside severe dislocations of the vertebrae requiring surgery, conventional medicine offers no treatment to correct the misalignment of the first cervical vertebra.
  • A single ATLANTOtec® session is all that is needed to permanently return the Atlas to the correct position.
  • Many consider that acting on the neck area is dangerous. You should know that any potential danger is limited to chiropractic manipulations. The ATLANTOtec® method uses a completely new, riskfree principle, which has nothing to do with chiropractic, osteopathy or any other familiar methods.

The most common complaints which have benefited from realignment of the Atlas vertebra

The negative effects of misalignment of the Atlas may manifest themselves throughout the entire body.

Data collected and records of patients treated with ATLANTOtec® have enabled us to draw up a list of the most common complaints and symptoms which may be alleviated by repositioning the Atlas. It is important to understand that not all disorders listed disappear in anyone who undergoes Atlas treatment, as they may have other causes or contributing factors.

It would be wrong to interpret correction of the Atlas as a miracle cure that can solve all problems. On the contrary, it is essential to understand that the purpose of ATLANTOtec® absolutely does not consist in diagnosing or "curing" a variety of disorders, but simply in seeing whether it is necessary to treat the Atlas. What is miraculous is the body's ability to self-heal, once put in a position to do so!

Correcting the position of the Atlas, if misaligned, is necessary, irrespective of any problems temporarily experienced, as such treatment is an "investment" in good future health. Realignment is advisable starting with children and allows the body to function at its full potential.

Migraine from a medical point of view

Migräne Kopfschmerzen Kopfweh
Generally, patients suffering from headaches or migraines typically go to the doctor thinking that they will be CURED. They soon discover that their doctor's concept of cure is different from their own.

During their university studies, doctors learn that treating migraine, for example, involves relieving symptoms or pain, and not seeking the cause of the symptom itself in order to cure it, thus preventing the same problem from recurring in the future.

Doctors examine patients and collect data with the sole purpose of prescribing the "best" medicines manufactured by pharmaceutical companies and promoted in their surgeries in order to achieve sales.

The modern doctor has turned into a veritable "drug pusher"! The reason is a lack of interest on the part of the pharmaceutical industry in finding a permanent solution for migraine, as a lifetime patient is a lot more profitable than a healed one. Moreover, doctors must adhere to guidelines while treating their patients and therefore are committed to prescribing pills rather than alternative treatments.

If you don't believe it, ask yourself the following question: when was the last time the pharmaceutical industry announced that it had found the definitive cure for any given disease?
Those who become aware of this fact stop running to their doctor to try to solve their chronic illnesses such as migraine or headache, but instead keep on searching for alternative solutions.

Before patients come to this conclusion, unfortunately they need to fall flat on their face. Only after suffering a pill-induced gastric ulcer and endless migraine and headache attacks do they start searching for alternative solutions.

In an emergency a pill can be useful. However, it does not represent a permanent solution for constantly recurring migraines or headaches!

Ursache Migräne

Atlas misalignment as a possible reason for migraine

Misalignment of the Atlas does not only compress the nerves but also the adjacent arteries and veins. This results in a circulation disturbance of the brain, which in combination with other factors may lead to migraine and headaches as well as various other health problems.

The theory that migraine is a neurological disease melts away like the snow in the sun after a correction of the Atlas! (See also this study)

Each Atlas adjustment is not like any other Atlas adjustment

There are several methods of correction of the Atlas: AtlasPROfilax, Atlaslogy, chiropractic, Atlas-Orthogonal and Upper Cervical. The theories and results are highly dissimilar. Read more in the following article (German): Each Atlas adjustment is not like any other Atlas adjustment.

Upper Cervical Protocol For Five Multiple Sclerosis Patients

TODAY'S CHIROPRACTIC , November 2000
by Erin Elster, DC.
INTRODUCTION
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the foremost disabling neurological disease among adults between 20 and 50 years of age, afflicting 250,000 people in the United States. (1) It strikes women twice as often as men and Caucasians more frequently than other ethnic groups. (1) The occurrence of MS is greater in northern temperate zones. (1)
The pathological process involved in MS, a demyelinating disease, is the loss of the myelin sheaths surrounding axons in the central nervous system. Demyelination is thought to result either from damage to the oligodendrocytes (white matter cells) that produce the myelin or from a direct, immunologic (auto-immune) assault on the myelin itself. (2)
Common early manifestations of MS include paresthesias (numbness/tingling in extremities), optic neuritis (vision loss), mild sensory or motor symptoms in a limb, and cerebellar incoordination (balance loss). Although the most common course of the condition is a relapsing and remitting pattern over many years, the manifestation in each patient varies. In most cases, as the disease progresses, remissions become less complete. Some patients have only a few brief episodes of disability, whereas others have a relentless downhill course over months or weeks. Although not all patients become disabled, the end stage often can include ataxia (inability to coordinate voluntary movement), incontinence, paraplegia, and mental dysfunction due to widespread cerebral and spinal cord demyelination. (2)
The MS diagnosis, primarily a clinical one, is usually rendered based on neurological history and examination. The diagnosis can be confirmed by specialized evaluation techniques including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), evoked potentials, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis, although none show findings pathognomonic for MS. (3-5) Traditional medical treatment for MS focuses on the use of medications to regulate the severity of symptoms such as depression, pain, bladder impairment, and sexual dysfunction. Other drugs may accelerate recovery from acute exacerbations of MS, but they neither alter the long-term course of the condition nor reverse any existing MS symptoms. (6)
B.J. Palmer, D.C., reported management of Multiple Sclerosis patients with upper cervical chiropractic care as early as 1934. (7-8) In his writings, Palmer listed improvement or correction of symptoms such as "spasticity, muscle cramps, muscle contracture, joint stiffness, fatigue, neuralgia, neuritis, loss of bladder control, paralysis, incoordination, trouble walking, numbness, pain, foot drop, inability to walk, and muscle weakness." His chiropractic care included paraspinal thermal scanning using a neurocalometer (NCM), a cervical radiographic series to analyze injury to the upper cervical spine, and a specific upper cervical adjustment performed by hand.
While few of Palmer's Research Clinic cases were published, Palmer described one case of Multiple Sclerosis in detail. (8) The patient, a 38-year-old male, went to the Palmer Research Clinic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1943, after a diagnosis of MS by the Mayo Clinic. At the time of admission into the Palmer Clinic, this subject was "…helpless; he could not feed nor take care of himself." His medical history included a head/neck trauma at age 16 in which "…he fell ten feet off a building, landing on his head." The fall rendered him unconscious for thirty minutes and he reported having a sore neck for several days. At the Palmer Clinic, upper cervical radiographs showed a misalignment of the atlas to the right. After upper cervical chiropractic care, the patient remarked, "I am happy to say that through chiropractic, I have been made almost well. Today, I have just a little numbness left in my hands. I have the full use of my hands, feet, and my whole body."
During the past several decades, research linking chiropractic and MS has been virtually nonexistent. A literature search produced only two single case reports. One patient was adjusted with an instrument, while the other was managed with thoracolumbar manual chiropractic adjusting procedures. (9-10) No other references for the chiropractic management of MS patients were found. To the author's knowledge, the MS cases discussed in this report are the first documented using specific upper cervical care (cervical radiographs, thermal imaging, and knee-chest adjustments) since Palmer's research seventy years ago.
The following five individuals suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for one to ten years, ranged from 33 to 55 years of age, and had symptoms varying from mild to severe. All patients showed lesions on MRI (MS plaques) and were diagnosed with MS by their neurologist. Some concurrently were undergoing treatment with medications. The following report discusses the upper cervical chiropractic intervention in detail and summarizes the five cases' results.

Alopecia - Causes and Reversing Hair Loss

[Download in printable PDF format]
There may be one or multiple factors leading to hair loss, which may be summarized as follows;
  • Local Factors
  • General Factors
  • Psychological factors
  • Liver -Toxins
1. Local factors:
Some of the local factors or conditions associated with hair loss are:

(a) Leaky Gut Syndrome:

Certain local skin ailments are known to lead to hair loss. Local skin infections such as overgrowth of C-albicans which include; fungal forms, metal toxicity, mycoplasma infections or, what we refer to as "vague and inconsistent symptoms" are at the root cause for all chronic illness known as autoimmune disorders.  Autoimmune disorders known as mycoplasmas or  ""Cell Wall Deficient Forms"" - the ""Stealth Pathogens"", are the underlying cause(s) of a myriad of conditions including; eczema, psoriasis, fogging brain, memory loss, lethargy, forgetfulness, ADD/ADHD, Chlymadia, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, MS, Lupus, ALS, Lyme Disease, Diverticulitis, Crohn's Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gastritis, Colitis, athletes foot, chronic yeast infections, ""jock itch"", yellowing toe nails and/or fingernails, itchy scalp (see parasite booklet) onset of peculiar vision symptoms, bad breath, all digestive disorders and more are ‘all' contributory factors to any ‘vague and inconsistent' condition usually missed by conventional medicine.

(b) Local exposure to toxins:

what does concern me

What does concern me is, if a child's Atlas becomes misaligned during childbirth they maybe misdiagnosed later on with a neurological condition such as Cerebral Palsy
